Sound matters.
Getting the audio right is as important as the performance itself.
01
The right setup matters for a live performance
Live saxophone with backing tracks requires a suitable audio setup — including a floor monitor and playback connection so the performance is heard clearly and the music can be controlled reliably.
02
Venue house AV may not be sufficient
Most venues have some AV equipment, but the available setup may not include an appropriate floor monitor, mixer or playback connection for a live instrumental performance.
03
I can help source the right equipment
Based on your venue and programme, I may recommend external AV equipment. I can assist with sourcing at no coordination charge — vendor costs are borne directly by the client.

FAQ
Common questions.
How much does a performance cost?
Performances start from S$400 for a single 45-min set. The final quotation depends on the number of sets, arrangement, venue and AV setup. Reach out on WhatsApp and I will send you a detailed quote.
What types of wedding events do you perform for?
I perform for all parts of the wedding day — solemnisation and march-in, cocktail reception, banquet entrance and dinner entertainment. I also perform for private celebrations outside of weddings.
What song styles can you perform?
My repertoire covers Jazz standards, modern Pop, Neo-Soul, R&B and Mandopop. If you have specific songs in mind, mention them when you enquire and I will let you know what is possible.
Can I book a small band instead of solo saxophone?
Yes. Options such as a 3-piece setup with keyboardist, vocalist and saxophone can be arranged. Mention your preference when you get in touch on WhatsApp.
Do we need external AV equipment?
Suitable AV support is important for a live saxophone performance, especially where backing tracks are used. While many venues have house AV equipment, the available setup may not include the appropriate floor monitor, mixer or playback connection needed for a reliable live performance. Based on the venue and programme requirements, I may recommend sourcing suitable external AV equipment. I can assist with sourcing this at no coordination charge, with vendor costs borne directly by the client.
What is required for soundcheck or a dry run?
A soundcheck of up to 30 minutes is required before every performance to confirm the audio balance, backing track playback and performance setup. A separate dry run is generally only required where there is a special walk-in song or coordinated programme cue.
How do I confirm a booking?
Send me a message on WhatsApp with your event details. I will review your requirements and follow up with availability and a quote. Bookings are confirmed with a deposit.
How far in advance should I book?
Wedding dates fill up quickly, especially on popular weekends. I recommend reaching out as early as possible — ideally three to six months before your event — to secure your date.
